The Sound of a Bucket List (2026)

In March of 2025, it was discovered that 17 year old Ella Coonen was losing her hearing. After getting hearing aids, we learned how little she'd always been able to hear. Two days later she texted family friend, director David Kaye... "Did you know wind makes sound?"

After a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and a rare genetic variation, Ella has learned that she will fully lose her hearing. This film documents her journey through sounds she's never fully experienced while she still has a chance.
